The Talking Heart

Source – unsplash.com

I long to give without measure
My heart now and forever
For I am held captivated

Displeasure?
Never!
Undaunted

By your own heart – a treasure
In your absence I shudder
You presence leaves me enervated

Pressure?
Never!
Unconcerned

A thousand songs I’d render at leisure
Delivering delight to your selfless border
My satisfaction elevated

Fantasticated
Encapsulated
Multticoated
Intoxicated

Once Upon A Mind

Loud, loud, louder
Rings the ever blaring train in my mind
Whistles hooting
Sirens blasting
My locomotive engine of a mind sings along
Lips unmoving yet mind swirling
Quite the talkative, if you ask me
But then again, you did not, so I tell you:
Click-clack-click-click-clack
Woooo-woot-woot-woooo
Steam emitted
So much kinetics
I find potential energy amiss
O! Be silent

Wandering Wonder

Wonder wandered a little lost
Upon the street of solitude
Right foot, left foot

Heavy and alone.
A bright flash stuns the hazy sky
Momentary pause

Wonder wandered with contagious delight
For Flash opened up Wonder to more wonder
Left, right, left, left, right foot!

Light headed with company

O̶r̶p̶h̶a̶n̶

Her thoughts lingered on the abandoned child
wailing endearingly on the steps –
another abandoned baaaaby
maybe by a young girl who
danced in a wifely shoe
very much untimely,
or one abused.
Cry no more
baby,
smile.
See
a home
safe haven
far away from
ravenous beings
you are not an orphan
come alive with your siblings
for a just cause, you came to be.
A hopeless child who wailed yesterday
will become tomorrow’s great paradigm!

Imagine an organism bred in alien territories,
Denied of its’ natural tendencies, raised amidst strange life forms.
Enduring every dictate and command, innate abilities suppressed.
Never expressing true potential, alien to its’ own, but
Tentatively inclined towards traits lying fallow below-within.
Instincts, I dare say, the desire to sway with a flow contrary to that which has been taught, which has been learned;
The things unlearned coming swiftly to the fore with such unpracticed dexterity.
Yes, of a truth, an organism’s inborn nature will never stay hidden

Crack in the Wall

huff! puff!

Down came the wall,
Several layers of bricks
All in sad pieces
Unrecognisable.

They built day and night
In the heat, in the cold.
Sweat spent, shivers bought,
Wall raised.

Alas, foundation wanting,
Schematics erratic,
Cost uncounted,
Folly in great abundance.

sink.

The great wall in which they trusted
Now decorated with a bare-visible crack.
“Let’s fix our folly”, said No Man.
Merriment abounded, false security guaranteed.

sinking..

While men merried
Something slithered on relentlessly,
Expanding the bare-visible crack.
Crack then, cracks now.

sank…

Yesterday’s tiny crack now today’s rubble.
Strewn hither thither
Sad pieces now identified –
Follies from yesterday.

sunk!

Yay! I got nominated

Liebster Award 2018!

Special thanks to @kiwinana for nominating me, it’s always a pleasure reading your posts as well as those prompt writing reminders.

“Liebster” is a German word with definitions ranging from “valued”, “beloved”, “pleasant” to words which connote loveliness.

It’s an award in which bloggers nominate other bloggers within the blogosphere for their beautifully captured thoughts and stories. This goes to show appreciation to them for their works as well as their dedication.

How it works!

° Acknowledge the blog that nominated you and display the award.
° Answer the questions the blogger gives you.
° Nominate some blogs.
° Give them questions to answer.
° Notify those blogs of the nomination.

The questions I was asked and my responses:
